What is Capers Helping Capers?

For the past several years, the CBUSU has been leaving a positive impact on charities within the Cape Breton Community thanks to Capers Helping Capers (CHC). Starting in 2011, CHC is a non-profit organization aimed at engaging CBU students in community issues. CHC strives to support our local communities’ efforts and create a direct and positive impact within Cape Breton by engaging individuals through a unique community-based initiative. Each year the CBUSU Executive Team chooses four (4) new charities to fundraise for throughout the year.

For the 2023/2024 year, the Executive Team has set their CHC goal at $20,000 and chosen Bereaved Families of Cape Breton, United Way, Ally Centre of Cape Breton, and Khalsa Aid as their recipients.
